Visit to the exhibition “The Shadow of the Unicorn”

He is Toby, the southern white rhinoceros who has lived longest inside a zoological facility in Europe: of his 54 years, as many as 47 were spent as a pampered guest at Natura Viva Park in Bussolengo.

In 2021 Toby died of old age and was donated to MUSE so that his story could continue and he could keep playing the role of ambassador for his species and the conservation issues related to man’s complex relationship with these impressive mammals.

Come learn about the beauty and vulnerability of Asian and African rhinos, their importance to the ecosystem, and the dangers that threaten them with extinction. Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition ” The Shadow of the Unicorn – The Rhino between Past, Present and Future,” curated by Osvaldo Negra and Alessandra Pallaveri.
