There is one day of the week that, during summer, completely transforms the face of Predazzo. The town’s main street becomes a large open-air square: a pedestrian promenade stretching through the heart of the village, where local products take centre stage alongside music, aromas, and the voices of people stopping to chat and enjoy the evening.

It is not just another Wednesday. It is the Wednesday of “A Pardac de Mercol Sera”, the summer event organised by the Pro Loco of Predazzo.

From 6.30 pm onwards, the town centre comes alive, turning a simple stroll into an authentic experience. It is the story of a community that opens its doors and proudly shares what makes it unique: traditions, craftsmanship, gastronomy, sport and, above all, the pleasure of being together.

A village that tells its story as you walk

Every corner of Predazzo has a story to tell: the story of artisans who preserve skills passed down through generations, local producers who bring the flavours of Val di Fiemme to the table, shopkeepers and associations that contribute every day to keeping the area vibrant and welcoming.

The exhibition itself becomes a show. Visitors stop to watch traditional wood carving demonstrations, admire skilled hands weaving threads and creating unique handmade objects, and listen to stories that speak of the mountains and local identity.

This is not staged folklore, but the authentic expression of a community that proudly protects its cultural heritage.

Every evening has its own character: sport & traditions

The summer edition of “A Pardac de Mercol Sera” follows two main themes, designed to offer visitors different experiences throughout the season.

On one side are the evenings dedicated to traditions, folklore and craftsmanship, scheduled for 8 and 22 July and 5 August.

These are the nights when the main street fills with traditional music, folk groups, dancers in costumes and artists who tell the story of the mountains through movement and performance.

The true heart of these evenings, however, lies in the work of local hobbyists and artisans: those who carve wood with a chisel, weave wool, or continue the ancient crafts of lace-making and knitting.

In Predazzo, these skills are not memories preserved in a museum. They are living traditions, everyday gestures handed down from generation to generation. Seeing them performed live, with artisans working directly in front of visitors, creates a unique connection between past and present.

On the other side are the sport evenings, scheduled for 15 and 29 July and 12 August, which open the village to local sports and associations.

The protagonists are Predazzo’s sports clubs, offering activities designed especially for families and young people: from guided walks to climbing experiences, with particular attention to inclusive sport.

Thanks to the collaboration with SportAbili, inclusive basketball becomes an opportunity to discover new disciplines and perspectives, perhaps for the first time.

These are not just demonstrations, but real opportunities to try, ask questions and get involved in a welcoming and open environment.

Throughout all the evenings, music and entertainment are accompanied by Radio Fiemme, the historic voice of the valley, bringing the same warmth and familiarity of someone who has always known and loved these places.

The flavours of summer

Every walk through Predazzo also becomes a journey through taste.

Food stands, local products and traditional specialities invite visitors to stop, taste and discover the authentic flavours of the territory.

It is the most genuine way to get to know a place: through its aromas, its recipes and the people who proudly preserve them.

Alongside food and wine, visitors will also find shopping opportunities, local restaurants, exhibitors, artistic creations and the many businesses that make Predazzo’s commercial fabric so lively and welcoming.

“A Pardac de Mercol Sera” will accompany residents and visitors through six summer evenings, all starting from 6.30 pm.

Because this is exactly how the most beautiful memories are created: walking slowly through the streets of a village that, every Wednesday evening in summer, reveals its most authentic soul.
