Predazzo, ski jumping and Nordic combined: children learn from Olympic champions

Predazzo and its strong vocation for Nordic sports, such as Nordic combined and ski jumping, are certainly nothing new. One only needs to look back a few months to still catch the reflection of the Olympic emotions of Milano Cortina 2026. But that light will never fade.

The most beautiful proof came during a truly special afternoon at the “G. Dal Ben” Ski Jumping Stadium in Predazzo, organized by U.S. Dolomitica.

Last Saturday, many children had the opportunity to get closer to the world of ski jumping and Nordic combined together with athletes who have written important pages in Italian sport history.

It was a day that successfully combined fun, discovery, and sporting passion, made even more emotional by the presence of some key figures in Italian sport. Supporting the activity were Olympians Alessandro Pittin, a symbol of Italian Nordic combined with six Olympic appearances from Turin 2006 to Milano-Cortina 2026, along with Annika Sieff, Martina Ambrosi, and Iacopo Bortolas. Also present were Enrico Sieff and Luca Libener.

Alongside them were also young talents Bryan Venturini, Manuel Boninsegna, and Giada Delugan, who shared advice, smiles, and experiences with the younger children, turning the afternoon into a moment of growth and inspiration.

The initiative did not end on May 16. Since that day, a structured program has started with two weekly training sessions dedicated to children, already involving around 15–20 participants. A preparatory activity designed to guide the younger generation toward the summer season of ski jumping and Nordic combined, always with a focus on sport, social interaction, and a genuine connection with the mountains.

Predazzo and initiatives like this continue to demonstrate their ability to transmit not only technique and discipline to new generations, but also the most authentic values of sport: friendship, commitment, and the desire to challenge oneself.

Because often, the greatest dreams begin exactly like this: with a jump, a smile, and the magic of the Dolomites as a backdrop.
